I'm really excited and encouraged about working with 255 this year as sponsor. I hope that the meeting that I had with 255 today has set us up for a great year.Your academic drive and behavior as a group have set you up to be one of the most influential classes that Girls' High has ever seen. Keep it up! You're big sisters now and have the Freshmen (256) looking to you for guidance--don't let them down. To be a part of the action you must do your part academically, socially, and administratively. It might sound a bit overwhelming now, but not to worry.
You're a Girls' High girl and you can do anything, don't forget or doubt that.
To echo Dr. Ruffin's message, Girls' High is a good school but I think that together we can work to make it great. To make it great, we have to plan together as a class early on. Let's review some items on our "To Do" list as we begin the year:

2. Sophomore Day
3. PhillyCare Day
4. County Fair
5. Winter Dinner Dance
6. Songs of the Season
Please keep a look out for information coming from your class council officials and advisory aides about how you can get involved in making these traditions great.
