I believe the most effective measure that Roosevelt did was passing acts such as the FDIC, TVA, AAA and SEC. This measure put thousands of unemployed people back to work, supported farmers and helped them pay their mortgage, gave people confidence in their banking system once again and helped to regulate the stock market. Also the programs that he created such as the Work Projects Administration, (which built the TVA and Hoover Dams)put more money into circulation.

The three R's which stood for Relief, Recovery and reform. Reform was a long range goal. He would reform the abuses that started the whole boom and bust thing. this would be most effective because then he would be fixing at the source which would be how the boom started and what caused it.

The most effective measure the Roosevelt used in fighting the depression was creating the Home owners' loan corporation (HOLC) and the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). The HOLC helped homeowners who were losing their homes by refinancing the mortgages on them. Also the CCC was a quick fix for the men who were out of jobs by creating about three million jobs.

to me there is a tie when it comes to FDR's changes in the government. Meaning i think that his three r's and the CCC are his best effective ways of dealing with the depression. The three R's played an effective role because it gave the people hope that the banks were safe to trust again and that they could move on. Also the CCC was as a plus to FDR's presidency because it helped men get jobs even though they had to send the money to their parents.

I agree with Tina that the three R's were the most effective measure in fighting the depression. I say this because Roosevelt found the source of the problem and did everything in his power to solve the problem. He put other people before him and did what was best for his country.

Rosevelts most effective measures during the depression was the creation of the Holc and the ccc as essence and Diana indicated both organizations help many people to stabilize and able them to get jobs and keep their homes. These organizations and programs such as these are what helped to push America out of the depression and helped to stabilize the people.

i think FDR's most effective plan was the Works Progress Administration (WPA) because not only did the percentage of unemployment went from 25% to 15%, but workers also made institutions and public facilities that benefited the nation; such as bridges, public buildings , and roads.

I agree with Diana and Dao, many of the acts passed by Roosevelt created more jobs for the unemployed. These acts not only deceased the unemployment rate but also by putting money in the pockets of citizens help to circulate money into banks. In addition to America's economy, I believe that inflation helped a great deal because it circulated money and increased the value of a dollar. I also agree with Khadijah that the Three R's played and important role in Roosevelts New Deal. Relief, recovery, and reform gave americans the mentality they needed to see a nation that can overcome the depression.
