New Meaning to "Youve Stolen my Heart"'
I found a really interesting Gnarls Barkley video. This guy sings like butter cream icing, but pay attention to the video. Is love really this damaging? What do you think?

This is Na Li from period 6th.This is a really interesting song and kinda sad too.. I do think that love is really damaging because the guy loved her so much that he can't let her go. Also, it's more damaging because after a break up, its kinda hard to be back as a normal friend. Even though he didn't want to listen to what the girl say to him but, he still need to admit it because every word is true. But the most part that interseted me was how the guy reacts to the situation, he doesnt whine, he just explains, and as sad as it seems its life.
OhEmGee; I love this video. My favorite by them. Gnarls Barkley always finds a way of taking a common phrase or such and diggin deep and bringing about a totally different and complex meaning of it. That's why I love this group. But yes, I agree love is very damaging. I would go into more detail but, love is EXTREMELY hard to explain. What I got and understood from this video is in many relationships when you give your all to someone and dedicate so much to them, you can't possibly go on loving someone else and figuratively that person will always have your heart because you feel you can't love anyone else like you loved that person. And I feel that Gnarls Barkley just explains that a bit.
The image of the video disturbed me in some ways but a very thought out video none the less. Love is very easily damage, but it can also be very strong. As like there are many different types of people, there are different types of love. Love; even thought I haven't ever experienced the one seen in the video. It is hard to get over someone. When you find someone new, you would constantly think of your old lover, sometimes even unconsciously. When I saw this video, it reminded me of this icon. It mentioned something about loving someone is when you give your heart to them, giving them the power to break your heart, but trusting them not to. I mean some people out there in the world cuts themselves to forget the pain. Some people suicide or runaway from home or themselves. Love, is very damaging. Some people just call it being shallow, and it might be true in some cases but. Not all relationships are on the level of actual love and it's hard to know when you are in love. Love is described as a deep affection for someone or thing and even one self. The feelings and experience are noted to be inexpressible to its fullest extent. It is because of this uncertainty of what love is, when you think it is and find out it gone. Some people are at a lost. Some recover in moments of seconds. Because they might of feel it was a deep connection of love between the two but when it wasn't. A misconception of affection, who knows, this is why I believe others call love shallow and meaningless. Because there are basing it on examples whom had not achieve the level of what people call love.
Sorry, I just started ranting for no reason what so ever. So please excuse the rant above.
Wow! These posts are truly insightful and mature. I didn't know this much about love when I was your age. I think that its something that most people have to learn about "the hard way" i.e. through experience. I think that there is much beauty in it too.
I LOVE this video. It was funny while sad at the same time. He displayed the literal effect of heartbreak so well and I agree with him because that one special person will always have your heart. I also love how the girl said "Maybe I can just hold on to it for awhile, when i've had a crappy day or need someone to talk to." ahaha. You always seem to find the best videos.
Well this is Jocelyn from 4th period, wilson, not lazaro. Anywho, Gnarls Barkley has a way with words and there metaphors and analogies are tres bien! I think they portrayed heartache to a T. Yes, although very damaging, love is a beautiful thing. Hard to come by and even harder to let go of. The part i enjoyed the most is when he descried how he felt after the news was delivered. How he was only an empty cavity. Ha, thats only a GENIUS way of putting it.I completely agree that You've stolen my heart has a completely new meaning.
hola! this is Tatiana from 4th period. This video is amazing! I never saw it before but it really makes me look at heartache a whole new way. I believe breakups can really be that bad. especially if you really loved the person :( I've had mine broken before so I can relate. I love how he laid his heart out on the plate. it was so literal! Sometimes its really that way. after months of trying to make it work and really putting your heart into a relationship, when it ends, ripping your heart out would definitely be less painful. Gnarles Barkley puts things in a whole new perspective for me. after watchig this video It shows that some guys are actually willing to love freely. and it alson shows heartbreakers what they are do to people. Thanks for putting up such interesting topics. I LOVE YOUR CLASS!! :)
Hey...dis is renzee from 6th period and i think that love is really damaging sometimes. i think that because its matters ho much that person loves the other person. if that person loves that person allot then it that person might probably do allot of crazy things, like in the video. in the video it seemed like that person really loved the girl because he cut himself open over that one girl because he loves her.
