Heroics in the Midst of a Health Crisis

Our inquires this summer have lead us to this point. We’ve explored our own identities in order to prepare for researching and presenting on the heros that emerge from one of the worst Health crises Philadelphia has ever known. 1 in 10 people died in Philadelphia during the Yellow Fever epidemic while many of the wealthy who could ran away to the countryside (i.e. Germantown and beyond). This project will ask you to use your skills of main idea, summarization, and presentation to make a case for the ways in which your person fits and doesn’t fit the role of hero in this crisis.
